Ecochef Academy Terms and Conditions

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the cooking classes offered by EcoChef Academy ("the Program"), the undersigned acknowledges they have read the terms and conditions and use of service.  If you do not agree to the terms and conditions, you may not register for our services.  

What To Expect: Great cooking is about more than recipes—it's about techniques and teamwork. In our classes, you'll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our Home Economics teacher.  Please be clear in your registration what your skill level is in general or about the specific class and where you would like guidance.  

• Classes are approximately 1.5-2 hours unless otherwise noted on the registration
• You will work with other students 
• Hands-on classes are limited to 8 students, for larger corporate events we book a larger room and can host approximately 25 students. 
• You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class.  The only class where you will sit down to eat will be a 3-hour or more class. 
• All in-person scheduled classes are held in the commercial kitchen at the local community centre called The Bradley Centre. Private sessions occur in participants home and the same terms and conditions will be in effect. 
• Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
• All students will be expected to assist in the cleanup of their workstations. 

Workshop Guidelines and Policies:

By registering for a workshop, you consent to EcoChef Academy using your contact information for communication purposes related to the workshops. EcoChef Academy may use the information you supply for administrative purposes, market research, and to provide you with updates on cooking classes, schedule information, special course offerings etc.  Your information will not be made available to third parties. 

While every effort will be made to ensure the course is completed as outlined, given it is a working lab environment, regular events occur that may require changes during the actual session. We do not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that any errors in the Service will be corrected.

It is expected that all participants will make every effort to work as a collegial team in the group environment setting and those found not to do so, will be invited to leave.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy: Our cancellation policy requires two weeks' notice to be given for a refund. If you're unable to attend the class, you can transfer your ticket to another student. If you're unable to find a replacement, kindly notify me via email with at least 24 hours' notice, as there may be a waiting list. However, please note that finding a replacement isn't guaranteed. If you transfer your ticket please inform the Academy so that we can update the attendee list. The new student/guardians must have a completed waiver signed before they can participate. 

EcoChef Academy reserves the right to reschedule or cancel workshops based on unforeseen circumstances such as illness or low enrollment. Participants will be notified in advance, and full refunds or rescheduling options will be provided. 

Emergency Medical Treatment: I grant permission for the instructors of the Program to seek medical attention and/or administer first aid in case of injury for myself or my child for illness, or emergency.

Photographic Release: I authorize EcoChef Academy to use photographs or videos of myself or the minor participant for promotional purposes on our social media feeds or website without compensation.

 By registering for services and accessing this website, customers are acknowledging theory have read and acknowledged the terms and conditions and liability waiver and release form on the website and agree to the terms.
